Bio

Petja Heiskanen (1997) Is a lens based visual artist (photographer...)  from Finland. His works reflect on traumas, escapism, hedonism, community and death. Using performative photography and parts of his own identity he plays with the idea of parallel worlds and illusions of survival in everyday life. 


His work floats somewhere between the fictional and documentary photography. Petja works in analog platforms and is preferred to work with his hands and use experimental ways in the process of image making.
